Request for Proposals for the Kent Bog WRRSP Project Invasive Species RFQ – Ocober 5, 2018
The Ohio Valley Conservation Coalition (OVCC) is accepting qualifications from firms for providing invasive species management activities within an approximately 45-acre portion of Kent Bog owned by the Portage Park District. Qualifications are due not later than Monday, October 22, 2018. The full Request for Qualifications can be accessed at the OVCC website, which is www.ohiovcc.org. All contractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of the project. Contractors must comply with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123. Contractors must be appropriately licensed to perform this work. Contractors must be capable of completing this work by December 31, 2018. The right is reserved by OVCC to reject any and all submissions. Any costs incurred by contractors in responding to this RFQ are to be borne solely by the contractors and may not be billed to OVCC - RFQ

EnviroScience, Inc. and RiverReach Construction led a diverse and highly qualified team in the restoration of over 7,215 LF of stream and over 60 acres of riparian, wetland, and forested floodplain for the Ohio Valley Conservation Coalition (OVCC). read more

The Ohio Valley Conservation Coalition (OVCC) purchased the Tordon Tree Farm – March 16, 2015
The Tordon Tree Farm started as a Christmas tree farm in the 1950’s by Fitz Stroth. It continued on as a Christmas tree farm until the death of Tom Rader in 2010. Many local residents, including some OVCC supporters involved in this project, have fond memories of hiking around the Tordon Tree Farm searching for that perfect Christmas tree with friends and loved ones. All of us at OVCC wish that the Tordon Tree Farm were still open and selling Christmas trees today. read more
